J.D. Power and associates recently released their Initial Quality Study, with some outstanding results for the GMC Sierra 1500! It ranked highest in initial quality in the large truck sector; higher than any other large truck on the market today.
“GMC Sierra customers demand not only exceptional capability and performance, but also top quality,” said Tony DiSalle, vice president of GMC Marketing. “The fact that Sierra ranked highest in the large pickup segment in this study demonstrates that the brand is following through on its commitment to customer satisfaction.”
The GMC Sierra 1500, outranks the similar built Chevy Silverado every year because of the luxury options. Though both vehicles are made to the exact same specifications in the engines, the Sierra is simply a more comfortable truck with more creature comforts at a lower price. These luxury options distinguish the Sierra from the Silverado as a classier vehicle.
But that doesn’t mean the GMC Sierra can’t be used for all purposes! The Sierra trucks are popular as work vehicles and personal vehicles! ConsumerReports.com writers have this to say about the Sierra’s power capabilities, “The Sierra, and its Chevrolet Silverado twin, is a well-rounded pickup with an available full-time 4WD system and generous payload capacity. Ride quality is decent with the Z85 suspension, and handling is secure. High-end models have very good interior fit and finish, but all have simple controls. The crew cab is roomy, with easy access. A six-speed automatic slightly improves fuel economy and acceleration with the tested 5.3-liter V8. We found the hybrid drivetrain considerably improved fuel economy on the Tahoe hybrid we tested. The luxurious Sierra Denali model has permanent AWD and a powerful 6.2-liter V8.”
The luxury features of the Sierra give drivers the ability to do their work and hauling in the highest level of comfort available in a truck!
Consumer reviews on MSN.com:
“This pickup handles like a sports car with an interior that is comfortable and stylish. I upgraded from my Chevy in 11′ and couldn’t have made a better choice. It is also very easy to work on for routine maintenance and modifications such as exhaust, intake and computer programming. Transmission is very responsive and the truck tows like a king.
“My overall review for this vehicle is overly satisfied and am definitely going be a returning customer to GMC. They have a quality durable truck that is able to handle any situation whether it’s the snow or off-road driving conditions the Sierra handles it all while staying classy and comfortable.” –Gill, MSN.com
